While a good album it is still one of Zappa's weaker releases and doesn't come even close to be as brilliant as Uncle meat or Grand wazoo or Burnt weeny sandwich by PurpleCobra ZAPPA, FRANK Music Online...

Weasels Ripped My Flesh is only an average Zappa record, all told, stronger than most of his later ones, but weaker than a number of those he produced in the 70s Gone here is the definite chunk of Hot Rats and the solid spunk of Chunga's Revenge. This album is very experimental, with many different styles spread throughout the album. Although I prefer the sections that are more structured and harmonically pleasing, I also find the experimental bits quite funny. Songs like Prelude to the Afternoon of a Sexually Aroused Gas Mask and Didja Get Any Onya are quite funny at parts. Other songs...
