...Moonchild: Now Moonchild is quite an interesting song. Like Epitaph it is divided into 2 parts: The Dream, which has a duration of approximately two and half minutes, and the Illusion, which spans the rest of the song (almost ten minutes). The Dream is as pretty and delicate as I Talk to the Wind, but rather different in mood - it's much more...

...Moonchild and Astronome CDs. Like those two, Six Litanies features Baron, Dunn, and Patton, but Six Litanies works from a far more varied palette than just those three (who were the sole performers on Moonchild and Astronome). Six Litanies also includes jazzy organ, a beautiful female choir, John Zorns own saxophone, and Ikue Moris famous...

...Moonchild. This one was penned by Smith and Dickison. Murray has also writing credits on The Prophecy Nicko McBrain really shines on this record too; his performance is very consistent, with good fills and patterns. I especially like the one on the title track, with a constant use of the toms. The guitar work is good too, but not outstanding...

...Moonchild which I'm seeing less and less as a flaw nowadays One of my wishes is to be able to forget all of the music I have heard until now and travel back to 1969. I would love to know what it was like to hear 21st Century Schizoid Man for the first time; it must have been a shock! Granted, there was some heavy stuff back in those days like...

KING CRIMSON - In The Court Of The Crimson King (1969) [rated 4/5 by UMUR]

...Moonchild which is really pointless noise to my ears and enough for this album to go from 5 to 4 stars in my book. Unfortunately the noisy experiments would continue on later King Crimson albums but on In the Court of the Crimson King this is fortunately the only place The songs are very mellow and majestic with the exception of 21st Century...

AVANT GARDE : JOHN ZORN

...Moonchild trio with the composer on alto sax, Jamie Saft on organ, Ikue Mori on laptop electronics, and a trio of female vocalists (Martha Cluver, Abby Fischer and Kirsten Sollek) serving as a chorus, "Six Litanies..." is significantly more than its predecessors, in many ways, it's the culmination of Zorn's work (barring Masada) over the past...

...Moonchild: By now, the mellotron-laced ballads are getting old, cheesy, and sappy by now, and that's exactly what the first two minutes of Moonchild are. After that, the song stops, but the band continues to noodle for ten minutes. All I can say is that when I first heard that these ten minutes were free-form improvisation, I got excited....

...Moonchild' which, while being a good song, only goves a small taster of what this album has to offer. 'Infinite Dreams' is a somewhat traditional heavy metal track, and still the true greatness of this album is not yet revealed until... 'Can I Play With Madness'. Yes I know this a cheesy 80s rock hit, but boy does it rock! And its catchy as...

...Moonchild is a nice ballad, but I feel the solo goes on too long. Then, finally, the tile track! This is a very bombast song! This song is almost perfect Overall, this is a great album, but I still think that Moonchild could have been better By the way, I would really rate this 4.5
