...harsher industrial music, gothic rock and various forms of alternative dance music. It was exciting to be online in the early to mid-1990s; I was exposed to so much new and old music. I think in many ways, the various full album music blogs provide a similar function today Nowhere is this early spirit of community more evident than in the...

...harsher, more expressionistic direction. One has to wonder how Schoenberg might have reacted to the more extreme developments of the 1950s avant-garde, particularly to the coming of Stockhausen and Boulez. This music seems to hint that the always contrary Schoenberg might have emphasized ever more strongly his "classical" inheritance Fong and...

RIVERSIDE - Second Life Syndrome (2005) [rated 5/5 by ProgBagel]

...harsher version of Volte-Face with some great guitar and keyboard work. Before is the perfect way to end this album, unlike the mistake made in the debut. Before has a very big post-rock vibe and the drumming is reminiscent of the After track (for obvious reasons). Nice slow ender to a perfect album You should get it and see for yourself....

...harsher British charts, is setting his sights on North America. Sounds Like: Jeff Buckley with a pompadour and checkered Vans for dancing. Piñate's debut album Matinee finds the twenty-two-year-old Londonite singing songs of missing home and unrequited love while showcasing his mastery of both the neo-ska and pop genres. Three Things You...

...harsher than ever, actually), and the songs Schizophrenic Prayer and Embryonic giving us some new vocalizing and especially soft textures respectfully. The instrumental closer brings a classic Riverside end to the band's first trilogy of albums (with a nice Floyd homage)-- and I for one am hopefully that the next will see more experimentation...

...harsher, and angrier than Out of Myself, but retains the key elements of the band's now signature sound within the heavy guitar riffing-- namely Lapaj's lush keyboards and the feeling of class which come with Duda's vocals. The epic centerpiece steals the show for its fine arrangement and memorable melodies, but the rest of the songs more...

KING CRIMSON - In the Wake of Poseidon (1970) [rated 4/5 by Nuke]

...harsher critics will accuse them of ripping off their first album Now that the expectations are set, this album is an interesting one to look at. King Crimson has a habit of reimagining their past material, and refining their music over and over again. Here is the first example of that. It isn't the best example. They have some amazing...

...harsher music. At the same time, Bob Dylan released John Wesley Harding and the Band released Music from Big Pink, both albums that rejected psychedelia for a more roots-oriented approach. Many bands in England and America followed suit. Eric Clapton cites Music from Big Pink as a primary reason for quitting Cream, for example.[citation...

...harsher side to his work. To the others, those not yet aquainted with Ferré's work, I strongly advise to, first, try the studio works then go to this "A dog in Montreux". A nice catch from, in my humble opinion, Ferré's best years! 1. Le Chien 2. Le Crachat 3. Vitrines 4. Il N'Y A Plus Rien LINK password : MOODSWINGS
