...Harmonia Mundi's 50th anniversary sales conference, and payback time came last Saturday when the BBC programme played the contents of the conference goody bag and gave several senior French executives a lot of valuable airtime to promote the Harmonia Mundi solution for today's turbulent classical music market In simple terms the Harmonia...

HARMONIA - Harmonia Live 1974 (2007) [rated 5/5 by Louie]

2008-01-07 01:48:13 by Editor in Progarchives.com (Progressive rock and related latest reviews)

...Harmonia was a supergroup of the German Krautrock era whose influence is still felt over 30 years later. The band consisted of former Kraftwerk and NEU! member Michael Rother alongside the members of Cluster (Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius). Together, these three musicians set out to create hypnotic rhythmic minimalist...

...Harmonia's Tracks & Traces to the blog sometime back. That file has been deleted so I thought I'd re-upload. For those of you who don't know the story behind this album, Brian Eno joined Harmonia on stage for one concert and later joined the band. The lineup for this album is Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Dieter Moebius, Michael Rother, and Eno....

...HARMONIA before this one In my opinion, "Tracks and Traces" offers the best music made in the CLUSTER / ENO / HARMONIA galaxy; it's somewhere between CLUSTER's "Zuckerzeit" and ENO's "Another green world", but with longer and deeper tracks. Curiously, it hasn't much in common with the more rythm based two other (and over rated) albums...

HARMONIA - Musik Von (1974) [rated 4/5 by dholl]

...Harmonia sounds organic and fresh, yet oozes futurism Here a track-by-track Watussi - 6 An interesting beginning: mid-paced hypnotic bleepy synth loops over a nonchalant beat. After repeated listens however it doesn't reveal too much more depth Sehr kosmisch - 10 Wow, the stand-out track. The sense of space is immense: there is much...

...Harmonia set as possible. Im so glad I pushed off snacktime a little longer in order to see these guys: the show was a swirling, chugging, cosmic delight. Insistent keyboard patterns, throbbing motorik grooves, and subtle-but-surprising shifts in tone and texture - the German trio held us all in a tight grip, and the accompanying film on the...

...Harmonia (= Cluster+ Michael Rother). This week i have the album they made after Rother temporarily left to concentrate on Neu ! again .The results were released as the 1974 Cluster LP Zuckerzeit, a watershed of electronic pop midway between Cluster, Neu! and Kraftwerk (the latter just about to explode with their own Autobahn LP). The next...
