Deadsoul Tribe was founded in 2000 by Devon Graves, former member of Psychotic Waltz. A year later the debut album Deadsoul Tribe was released and proved to be a success with former Psychotic Waltz fans and beyond. Graves is the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music is both philosophical and challenging. Everything I write has...

Deadsoul Tribe is a progressive metal orchestra, founded (2000) and lead by Devon Graves, a keyboard player and vocalist from Psychotic Waltz. As a matter of fact, Devon Graves cannot be found from Psychotic Waltz' line-up, but Buddy Lackey is the name marked as a keyboardist and vocalist instead. That's because he changed his name when forming...

...Deadsoul Tribe its like a retrospective because I now their newest album A Lullaby for The Devil (2007) first before this one. This album is not as unique as the newest one but I still joy in enjoying this album especially in its ambient heavy riffs and the Tool like music. Lyric is still one of the key attractions to this album. You can find...

...Deadsoul Tribe's albums always interesting, rich and surprising... And this self tittled album is not an exception. Maybe not so good as later albums, but recommendable The only problem I have with this album is that it's a bit irregular... Some chorus sound a bit uninspired (You, Cry for Tomorrow...), while other track are simply impressive....

...DEADSOUL TRIBE album besides this one, 2003s A Murder of Crows. A Lullaby For The Devil is another enjoyable experience that, at moments, comes close to greatness As I said before, this bands greatest influence seems to be TOOL. But now I hear more elements of other bands in the music of DEADSOUL TRIBE. I hear some PAIN OF SALVATION, I hear...

...Deadsoul Tribe. Deadsoul Tribe is the brainchild of Devon Graves who is the former frontman in progressive metal band Psychotic Waltz. The debut album from Deadsoul Tribe was a good solid metal album but nothing special really. Personally I had expected more from Deadsoul Tribe being a big fan of Psychotic Waltz, but I must admit that I was a...

...Deadsoul Tribe are no exception. It's music by the book - adhering closely to the formula. I feel as though I'm watching a low-to-no budget horror movie, and I'm guessing the end, or even what will happen in the current scene. She'll turn the corner and the murderer will be standing right there! And sure enough, as the clichéd crescendo of...

...Deadsoul Tribe is a far more interesting, diverse, and well-produced band. A Lullaby for the Devil represents a motion towards heavier music than their previous works. We have the flute here and the tribal drums and some fantastic wailing from their frontman. Basically, we have a sort of massive progressive metal music, atmospheric in its own...
