2008-09-03 08:52:00 by thesupremeunknown in The Essential Elements

This was compiled by another individual but I thought it was a really cool set as an intro to afrobeat and figured a bunch of you wouldn't mind having this. Within Part 1 is a word document with a very detailed track listing of the songs on this set, so start there...

I don't have a year on this video, it could be from around the time when the footage from his DVD was made. I've had this probably a couple of years now so it is at least that old. I think it runs about an hour in length and features some mixing and a lot of straight up turntablism . Definitely a great watch and a good addition to any collector...

Anniversary Week: To be continued...

...music so it is taking a lot of preparation to get fairly familiar with the music and decide what I will be playing and what will be available for request. It's not a big wedding so it should go alright even if I'm not totally up to speed on the tracks and artists. For now, I just want to break stuff down by tempo so I know what will at least...

I thought I would add a couple of nice anniversary comps during anniversary week, which has three more days to go yet! Bomb Hip-Hop Records is most famous for the Return of the DJ series of course. They are scheduled to be releasing a new edition to that series which should probably be a must have. So, it is no surprise really that a lot of the...

Awhile ago someone posted something to the effect of, "Why aren't there any Eddie Izzard videos?" Well I have managed to dig up a few of these videos over the past few weeks. The person who left the comment accurately pointed out the entertainment value of Eddie Izzard's mannerisms during his performances which is something you totally miss when...

I don't think I need to say much about this one. I know a lot of you have been waiting anxiously since I posted Keepintime awhile back. This is the main movie which runs about 2 hours. There are extras and such but I have not gotten to that yet. This should be more than enough to keep you going for now. The video is in two parts in order to...
