The Cute Lepers debut full-length, Can’t Stand Modern Music, is a rock n roll history lesson of sorts. The listening experience is like a regurgitation of all of your favorite poppy punk bands. Listen to the track I’ve illegally shared below (sorry, Blackheart Records, it will be down in 7 days)…the beginning reminds you of a song from the 70s London scene, does it not?!

While I hate to make comparisons to The Exploding Hearts, I get a very similar feeling after listening to the Lepers. Fun stuff from a band who spent enough time on the road laid down before them. It reminds me of so many things while being an entirely new and enjoyable listen. I think the results are well worthy of your undivided attention.

The album has been doing pretty well on the CMJ charts as well as receiving a significant amount of airplay on college radio stations across the country. Check ‘em out and let me know what you think.
