The game is simple. The rules are easy. You have a week to think about it. Here they are:
1. Pick a song (artist and title) that mentions the name of a celebrity in it. Celebrity can be defined by any famous person - musician, entertainer, politician, writer, etc.
2. The song can drop the celebrity's name in either the title or in the song. 3 points for title and 7 points for somewhere in the song but not in the title.
3. Full names only. Exceptions are Elvis, Madonna, Jesus, etc.
4. Once a celebrity has been name dropped, they're done. So, no multiple songs about Elvis from other Moggers.
5. Multiple name drops from the same band are fine
6. You have a week to think about it and post (5:00 PM EST next Thursday)
7. I'll moderate, but it would be nice to have some folks help confirm the validity of the songs (moreso the songs about...whomever)
My examples follow - pay attention to the format (these are exempt from the game, so no David Bowie, Leonard Cohen or Jude Law {sorry ladies})
(David Bowie, I Love You) Since I was Six - Brian Jonestown Massacre (David Bowie)
- 3 points
Pennyroyal Tea - Nirvana (Leonard Cohen) - 7 points
Jude Law and a Semester Abroad - Brand New - 3 points
Questions?
OK. Cool.
Ready, Set...Begin!!!
