Brian Wilson used to be a crazy recluse, but he's been back and semi-functional for the past few years. And now he's releasing a new album! "That Lucky Old Sun," named for a 1949 song, will be available on CD, DVD, and as a digital download September 2.

The NME seems pretty excited that the record marks Wilson's return to his old label, Capitol. And the former Beach Boy sounds psyched, too: "I'm thrilled to be back home with Capitol, and I'm looking forward to sharing 'That Lucky Old Sun' with everyone. This music is really special to me," he told NME."That Lucky Old Sun" may represent more serious nostalgia, too--with many song titles including something about California, the sun, surfing, or the beach, it seems like Wilson's set to relive his '60s glory days, too.

Lucky Brits caught the live debut of the album last September, when Wilson performed it during six sold-out Royal Albert Hall gigs.
