This concert focuses on the choral and vocal music of Villa-Lobos and will feature performances by the VCU Women`s Choir; VCU Vocal faculty members Michelle Harman Gulick, Cynthia Donnell and James Taylor; and VCU instrumental faculty members Dmitri Shteinberg (piano), Leilani Mork (piano) and Regine Montes Barrau (violin).
Experiencing Villa-Lobos: An International Festival brings together a global array of presenters, performers and participants to celebrate, share and learn about Brazillian composer Heitor Villa Lobos. Events include concerts, panel discussions, master classes, scholarly presentations and more.
Tickets for this keynote address and the concert immediately following are $10 and FREE with a VCU ID. Tickets may be purchased by calling the VCU Music Box Office at 804-828-6776.
