Musician, and all round greatest living Welshman - sorry Tom Jones - John Cale is curating and headlining a tribute to Bavarian ice maiden Nico at the Royal Festival Hall. Described as "an iconoclastic tribute" to his Velvet Underground colleague and alleged sometime lover.
Cale - who also produced Nico during her solo career - has arranged the night called 'Life Along The Borderline' as "a very special line-up of artists to re-imagine her life, work and songs in this one-off event."
Artists scheduled for the October 11 event - that's Saturday by the way - include Manic Street Preacher's James Dean Bradfield, Sparklehorse's Mark Linkous and Mark Lanegan. Overleaf for the full line up and how to get your ass there. Perhaps a song too.
More information about the show and to buy tickets, see the venue website here.
