The Restless Generation: How Rock Music Changed the Face of 1950s Britain
Customer Review: I was too young then but what a time it was
Being just too young and innocent for this period I never really understood what the fuss was about. I never heard Vince Eager, or The Vipers, or Terry Dene, or most of the people the book is about.

This book takes you there. This is the way it must have been. The standard rock histories leave so much out. Pete Frames book fill in all the gaps. What a terrific Christmas present it will make for my friends and anyone who is interested in the musical days before yesterday.

I’ve bought four copies

Customer Review: THE RESTLESS GENERATION - PETE FRAME
“The most accurate and well-researched archive of information on this era of the post-war generation’s influence on popular music I’ve come across. If you were there and ‘lived it’, like I did, this book evokes fond memories of anarchic change not to be repeated until the Punk revolution of the seventies. An excellent book.” - Alex Wharton.
