On this date in 1977, The Ramones released their fourth single, "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker". It was backed by "I Don't Care". Both tracks appeared on their third album, Rocket To Russia. The single went to the #22 spot on the U.K. singles chart and the #81 spot on the U.S. singles chart. The legendary punk band from Queens, NY turned in their leather jackets for good in 1996.
