The always growing Original Sessions National Band Search is a talent search in which one band will be chosen to receive full sponsorship and 14 others will receive partial sponsorship as runners up!

The band search takes place in various clubs in New York City and satellite territories. Cities & States include: NYC, LA, Philadelphia, CT, Boston, Miami (downtown Miami & South Beach only), Austin, San Francisco, and Jersey City.
There will 14 finalists at the end of the Fourth Quarter, plus one band who will be chosen as the winner and presented with a full sponsorship.
This is how it works:
Bands will be chosen based on artistic merit, how tight the band sounds, originality, and positive attitude. Draw is not the main deciding factor, but it is in a band's favor if in addition to sounding tight and polished they have a decent following. In addition, the band with the most songs that have hit single appeal will be the main selected band. On a given night, selected bands will play a show at a participating club in their territory, or if bands are touring through NYC, arrangements can be made. There will be 1-3 reps on hand per show, either working at the venue or hanging out, very low-key, checking out the bands taking notes. Good, tight and well-polished musicianship speaks for itself. The most polished bands will be invited back to play a second, third and final show. The final decision is a multi-step process in which our Board members, reps and sponsors who are music industry professionals, will select the band they feel has the most potential to make their mark in the music industry. At each show, the door person will ask each patron which band he/she is there to see. Bands will then be paid based on their draw, which will be clearly defined. All bands that play NYC shows cover from the first ten people through the door will go to the venue. The cover from the second ten people in support of said band will go to the band 100%. Any patrons thereafter will be split 60/40 split in the band's favor.
Payment for bands playing in satellite territories: First 15 people go to the venue, any cover paid therafter for said band gets split 60/40 in said bands favor.
Bands must be based within reasonable distance of the city where their show will take place unless there are special circumstances and arrangements are made.
Please note: Some territories are more popular than others. The Band Search will be making its way into the territory your band is based out of, so be patient and you will be contacted as soon they are holding the search in your area.
