The Pains of being pure at heart have a free download only single due for release on 15th September. The single is a rather splendid re-recording of 'Come Saturday'. It's still a beautiful piece of guitar pop - but it somehow sounds even more magnificant second time around. This is their first 'release' on the UK based Fortuna Pop label. Fortuna Pop (along with Slumberland in the US and Lost and Lonesome Records in Australia) are lining up to release the bands debut LP in 2009.
The band are also back in Europe in September (Sweden) and December (UK and Ireland). I wish I could get myself to Sweden - but alas I can't. I'll have to content myself with taking in a few of their December dates instead.
