On this date in 1980, Surf Punks released their second album, My Beach. There were no singles released from the album. The band was from Malibu, California and was formed by Dennis Dragon (brother of "The Captain" of Captain & Tenille fame) and Drew Steele (son of Gavin MacLeod of Love Boat fame). They appeared in the movie, Urgh! A Music War, performing "My Beach" from their second album. They disbanded in 1988.
