Talking BirdSnake Davis plays with Heather Small and a Japanese Rock Star called Ekichi Yazawa but has played and recorded with a whole host of artists including Ray Charles, Eurythmics, Swing out Sister, M-People, Lisa Stansfield, Take That, Paul Hardcastle, Acoustic Alchemy and many more.

His influences? Snake says, “Many and extremely varied, most heavily influenced by 60s soul, Irish folk, religious choral music and great singers. My favourite sax man is King Curtis from Austin Texas, a storming tenor sax player who was Aretha Franklin’s Musical Director as well as playing and recording under his own name.”

Phenomenally talented saxophonist, flautist and composer, Snake Davis is instantly recognisable for his soulful and searing sound. A multi-faceted performer, he has worked with artists such as Ray Charles, James Brown and Amy Winehouse. His eighth album, Talking Bird, is an energetic synthesis of funk, pop, soul and world music, imprinted with his uplifting and raw-power style. With Snake Davis (saxes/flute/shakuhachi/whistle), Paul Birchall (keyboards), Neil Fairclough (bass) and Bryan Hargreaves (drums).

Talking Bird is now available at CDBaby. For more information about Snake Davis visit his website.
