Kelley's Cause - Battle of the Bands

The Kelley's Cause Battle of the Band sponsored by Margarita's Mexican Restaurant is a fund raiser for a local women tragically injured in a 2006 diving accident. The Battle of the Bands will be held on April 12, 2008 at Keene State College at 6:30pm. There is a $1000 Grand Prize for the winner of the event. All proceeds made will benefit the Kelley's Cause Foundation.
The event will run in a format of three rounds. In the first round bands will have 4 minutes to play a set, and based upon the judges scoring, only half will move to the second round. In round two, bands will have 6 minutes to play and judges will decide on the three top bands to move on. The final three will have 8 minutes to play and the winner will be determined by the audience.
The promoter has requested that bands chose songs that are non violent & non degrading. There are 18 performance slots reserved for Sonicbids artists.Bands will have time during venue set up to practice & see the stage if they like. If bands are traveling from out of state, hotel rooms can be booked at a group rate depending on number of bands.
