Urban Music Fest is a one of a kind music festival acclaimed for its eclectic line-up and family-friendly vibe. The event showcases the world's finest positive urban gospel music. Urban Music Fest will be held on Sunday July 27th in Downtown Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center in conjunction with the WNBA Minnesota LYNX basketball game. The Game will be held at 5pm and Urban Music Fest will be held immediately following at about 7pm.
Urban Music Fest is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration. They are looking to select 4 artists to perform 2 songs live on the center stage at the Target Center immediately following the game. Urban Music Fest produces nearly 10,000 compilation CDs for promotional purposes. They are looking to select 12 artists for inclusion in the compilation.
Performing artist's photos will also be placed on 1,000 UMF promotional T-shirts.
Past performers and honorees included: Gary Hines & Sounds of Blackness, James Greer and Nu Friends, Billye Steel, Excelsior Choir, Mint Condition, XROSS, KJ, Mariaha Markel, Sammy McDowell, Pettidee, Ryan Daniel, Minneapolis Gospel Sound and many more....
Urban Music Fest is a family affair. Through diverse marketing efforts, they will attract hundreds of young adults, an equal mix of baby boomers and several prominent music industry moguls for a night of music, entertainment, food, fun and fellowship.
