By the powers invested in me and now pronounce BET’s Spring Bling 2008 a WRAP! I must say, for my first Spring Bling, I had a great time. Despite some minor holes in our operation, we still managed to get the content we needed with the appropriate talent and also squeezed in some unforgettable memories.

Since the show won’t be airing for another two weeks, LowKey, Jackpot and Dot Com Team will be providing you with EXCLUSIVE photos, video (courtesy of LowKeezy), interviews and everything else that happened this past weekend. The Good

-85 percent of the talent being cooperative when we requested interviews on the spot.

- Watching JackPot take Flo Rida’s trailer so we could have a place to escape the sun. It actually turned into one of the best conversations I’ve had in a long time since we were joined by one of BET’s talent executives

- Listening to the instrumental of “All About The Benjamin’s” while typing this list up.

-Watching Soulja Boy watch the Pop It Off Boyz during their performance for “Crank That Batman”. I know in the back of his head he was thinking “These lil pricks are jumping in my lane…..YAHHHHHHHHH”

- Meeting my future wife, I swear she’s so damn pretty, scroll down and check for yourself (she has the prettiest curly hair I’ve ever seen).

-Listening to Trevor (our Senior Graphic Designer) say “Bro”, “Dude”, “Flow”, “Damn”, “He’s lucky to be alive” and talk about Lil Boosie’s outfit from his Saturday performance.

- Lil Wayne drinking a bottle of water instead of cup of lean.

The Bad

- Wasting 2 HOURS of our day on a Keyshia Cole interview that was canceled at the last minute. We weren’t pissed that it was canceled, but how it was done.

- Lil Wayne’s arrival with his 67653423218877657 assistants, and THEN having everyone clear the path so he could waddle his way down to the stage.

- During Wayne’s interview, one of his label reps yapping off my team’s ears about nonsense. I swear if people would just let us do our job then half the stuff they worry about would be taken care of. And not to mention her lil snide comment “If the next question isn’t for Baby, I’m shutting this entire thing down”.

- Our Music, Development and Marketing Manager almost killing us on our way to TGIF’s last night.

- Pastor Troy walking around with a wrestling championship belt!

-LowKey wearing black in 90 degree weather (I swear I was bamboozled by that damn weatherman)

- The inappropriate attire worn by some of our Spring Blingers.

The Funny As Hell

- Lil Wayne saying “I don’t want that sh*t” when offered a lollipop and then minutes later he’s seen with one before hitting the stage.

- DJ Khaled answering and every question with the phrase “WE GLOBAL”.

- JackPot falling in the club last night in front of EVERYONE, but still managed to NOT spill his drink, get up, and get a females phone number…ALL IN ONE MOTION!

- During our interview with Lil Wayne, we asked Baby about a Hot Boys reunion and as he was responding, Wayne would walk back and forth in front of the camera laughing uncontrollably.

- Looking at Jim Jones stare at Jackpot in the most weird way as he snapped his picture in the media tent.

- When Rocsi asked Soulja Boy how he would spend $100, Soulja replied, “I would get all ones and make it rain on you”. It took everything I had inside my body not yell out “YAHHHHHHHHHHHH ROCSI YAHHHHHHHHHHH” Lmao!!

- Listening to Felecia sing the hook to Jay’s “Say Hello” song. (Country accent) Hello….Hello.

- Not understand a LICK of what Lil Wayne was saying onstage.

- Watching Nivea skate right past us and it not clicking in my peanut sized brain that we could’ve snapped the picture, but we didn’t because we were laughing at her boyfriend play the guitar on stage.

LowKey in all black during 90 degree weather. Meanwhile, Soulja’s watch kept me cool by just looking at it. Soulja’s also working on his sophomore Lp slated to be released later on this year.

One of the BET College Hill cast members decided to get somethings off her chest due to the commotion Lil Wayne caused.

Freakey Zeakey and I chopped it up about Max B, Cam, and the lovely ladies of Spring Bling.
