San Antonio rock trio Girl in a Coma is touring the US throughout the summer and will join Tegan and Sara on their fall tour. Girl in a Coma, signed to Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records label, is touring in support of their album, Both Before I’m Gone, hailed as an “awesome debut” (Artist Direct) of “inspired, body moving tracks” (Bust Magazine).
A dream came true for the band when the trio was hand picked by Morrissey to open several dates on his 2007-2008 US and European tours. Girl in a Coma also appeared on Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors tour in June, as well as opening stints for The Toadies, Frank Black, Social Distortion and more. Some of our regulars will remember me posting about these explosive girls around about the turn of the year.
